Bidra med feedbackThere is no way this place should be called a Caribbean or Island restaurant. The chef at this establishment needs better training in how Caribbean/Island food tastes should be made. I don't mind paying $15 for a misley plate of oxtail, but if you're going to charge me that much then you better make it tasty. If you charge $15 for this small portion (see pic) what portion do you serve for lunch? The Jerk chicken is nothing to write home about either. My advise is for the owner to stick with soul food and remove all reference to Island or Caribbean vibe. The only good thing I tried today is the spice rice served with Jerk chicken. Fyi the side dish (rice and peas) is $4
The food at Pasche 's Island Soul looks and tastes great! It was my first time eating there. I had the Chana Aloo Curry (vegan) and Brown Stew Chicken, both with flatbread. I will definitely be a repeat customer. They are a must try !
Love the Caribbean vibe music! Very nice sitting in the shade with a breeze in the afternoon. Felt like I was a world away! (especially being 1 block away from Broad St Greene St . GREAT vegetarian options too, with generous portions. Very tasty. Just across from the RCBOE parking complex near the corner of Ellis and James Brown. Newly renovated buildings area. :
Fantastic food! The inside is closed from I assume Covid, but you can still walk up and order. They were about an hour from closing but still put on some fresh vegetables for us. The ox tail is the best I?ve ever had! Highly recommend!
I got the jersey chicken and it is flavorful, the rice and peas are pretty good, not very spicy, the cabbage is slightly sweet. Overall, nothing was very salty which I completely appreciate. I am disappointed in the sorrel drink, it tasted more like fruit punch and didn't have much of a bite and I actually came here specifically for the drink. Other than that, the service was great, and it had outdoor seating.
