Tastee Spoon - Atlanta

This restaurant blew my mind. I had a phenomenal time. The customer service was amazing from the time we entered through the door. The food and drinks presentation was great as well. I will definitely come back. I’m coming all the from Florida in town visiting and this made my experience even better.Thank you to you all for having us and making us feel right at home.Kid-friendliness: I took my 2 year old here and I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all.Parking: Parking is self parking and also easy to find the restaurant.

I love the Jerk Chicken Rice and Peas and Macaroni at Tastee Spoon. The chicken is tender and spicy, the rice is fluffy and flavorful, and the macaroni is nice and cheesy. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. My only complaint is that the recipe seems to vary from time to time, so I never know what to expect, sometimes the macaroni is too dry. I wish they would stick to one consistent recipe, because when they get it right, it’s delicious. Nonetheless, I always enjoy my meal at Tastee Spoon and I recommend it to anyone who likes Caribbean cuisine.

As a Jamaican it is hard to eat Caribbean food outside of my own pot or family homes. Most of the time the food is not authentic HOWEVER TASTEE SPOON ? is very authentic to Jamaican style dishes flavor spices and atmosphere. 10/10 on all the food. The fact everything was good portion sizes nothing had to be sent back. The staff was so good the music the live dj. The restrooms clean a lot free parking spaces. Nothing bad can be said. They have the little robot server which was pretty cool. All of the food was excellent. It’s right by perimeter mall in the Walmart plaza. I hope they don’t change the dishes and prices because it’s really worth the money.

Made an order through grubhub for pickup. My food was suppose to be ready in 20 mins and I ended up waiting an hour. I asked for no onions in my pasta and it still came with onions. It was huge chunks so it was easy to pick out so I didn’t take it back. During the wait, I was looking at the menu prices and realized grubhub charged me $5 more for the salmon pasta and $1 more for patties. The pasta isn’t worth $25, so I don’t see why they would support this for pick up orders especially when you can’t order through their site and you can barely hear them over the phone. The really underwhelming part was I asked if the desserts were baked fresh and the lady said yes… this cake is old and tastes like medicine. If it was fresh, the baker should never bake again. The cake was disgusting and overcooked or stale. The should put dates are them or be honest about them being cooked the same day. Lastly, I ordered a drink that they were out of. I was sick so I wanted the ginger drink. I don’t drink soda and after an hour I was ready to go so I asked for a refund. The lady tells me they can’t refund grubhub orders. The fact that I had to state multiple times that I wanted a refund was wild to me.

First let me say I really never write reviews, but this one was worth it! All I can say is WOW! The food was so delicious! I’m from Chicago and this was the best Lamb Chops, they were so tender and yummy! Everything was perfectly seasoned! Mac N cheese, cabbage, corn bread, and plantains all were soooo delicious! Definitely better food than a lot Chicago restaurants! Also prices are good!
