Bidra med feedbackThis has to be one of the most over priced restaurants I’ve ever went to and the service is awful bar Lucy I think her name was, the only one who seemed to know what she was doing , another little fella clearly never worked as a waiter before and just left to his own devices I genuinely felt sorry for him as it’s clear he hasn’t received proper training , there was what looked like to be a supervisor doing nothing just roaming around, not one person came near us to ask us how our food was even when paying the bill , the chips were priced 3.95 for about 10 chips a handful) and we paid 14.95 for a tiny portion of chicken wings everything was pricy and tiny portions, the pornstar martini was literally juice , it took someone nearly 20 mins to bring us a car machine , we then also had breakfast here which was included in the hotel which was awful tasted like they were cooked hours ago then reheated a tiny bit as it wasn’t hot at all , no juice or anything offered , no toast included just an awful experience with this hotel based on the food . I defintely won’t be coming back
We went to the athlone springs hotel on our way home. Our mains were taken by the manager, she never commented or asked how our meals was as they both were not eaten. When I complained to her she said she noticed that they were untouched. I explained how my husband did not get what he ordered nor did our drinks arrive. Even though we told two different staff we haven’t got our drinks. When the coffee arrived it was weak and cold. It was just a terrible experience and worst of all I still had to pay for the mains that were not consumed.
I recently dined at Athlone Springs Hotel for lunch while considering it for a family event. I must admit, I was extremely disappointed with the experience. I was charged €7.95 for a sourdough bruschetta, which turned out to be a small piece of ciabatta bread topped with a not-so-fresh side salad. My husband ordered a bagel that was smaller than a burger bun. Neither dish matched their descriptions on the menu and were overpriced for what we received. Sadly, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
A group of four families with ages ranging from 5 to 50 had a pleasant evening meal at the Cedar Brasserie on a Wednesday night. The Brasserie is usually closed on Wednesdays in February, but it was open due to the mid-term break. We had starters, main courses, and brought a cake for dessert. The staff was attentive and the food was served promptly. Personally, I would have liked a bit more time between courses. The lamb shank I ordered was deliciously tender. My brother-in-law's prawn linguine was a hit, and my brother thoroughly enjoyed his buttered chicken burger. Most of the children opted for the chicken goujons, which were seasoned with herbs. My picky eater daughter was put off by the seasoning, but the others enjoyed and finished them. We also enjoyed cappuccinos, although my wife found her Americano to be too cool.
My family and I visited the Cedars Brassiere restaurant for lunch while in Cork. Despite not staying at the hotel, we decided to dine there. There were a total of 6 people in our group. For starters, we ordered 2 servings of wings, 1 soup, 2 salads (1 house salad and 1 Caesar salad), and 1 chowder. Unfortunately, the service was slow and the food did not meet our expectations. The wings arrived first, followed by a long wait for each salad to be delivered separately. The soup and chowder were both lukewarm, and the bread served was frozen. The main courses arrived before we were finished with our starters, forcing us to move our plates aside. The chicken stir fry was also lukewarm and lacked flavor, tasting like store-bought sweet chili sauce poured over chicken. The portion of rice was small and overwhelmed by an excessive amount of parsley. One guest enjoyed the roast of the day, but the 2 burgers and chips lacked flavor. The staff was friendly but inattentive, taking a long time to replenish our drinks and bring us cutlery. Overall, our experience was very disappointing and I do not plan on returning.
