Went today and had a great dinner with my one year old and fiance. Normally we have a had time enjoying ourselves at more upscale restaurants with children. The ambience was great. The staff were all amazing. I had many questions about the food, all the food is traditional and the pasta is made in house. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wine selection. The manager stopped by to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I loved all the food we had and the wine which the waiter suggested was perfect. Will he dinning there again.

The food, staff, and wine were all exceptional. My wife and I decided on a spontaneous date night, planning just to stop by for appetizers. However, after a couple of glasses of wine and some amazing starters, we were tempted to order main courses—and I’m so glad we did. The homemade gnocchi, which I actually saw the chef preparing in the kitchen, was simply incredible—light and fluffy with a delicious homemade marinara. My risotto and roasted lamb were also exquisite, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her pasta! I highly recommend this place. Our server, Austin, was very knowledgeable about the wine selection, and our glasses were always full. Kudos to this local business run by local owners!

Fantastic, authentic Italian food! Great service, nice size portions, endless bread and olive oil. Hidden gem in downtown Athens upstairs from the French restaurant. Highly recommend this place especially for adult family gatherings, prom dates, special dinners.

This is one of the best restaurants in town and certainly the best Italian restaurant around Athens. The owners, chefs, and staff are all lovely, and the restaurant itself is very homey and nice. The food is incredible and tastes authentic. The waiters always know good wine pairings and can discuss the menu with customers. I went in recently with my friend who can’t eat gluten, and the chef made a specialty dessert for her. My first visit was on my boyfriend’s birthday, and I posted a picture on Facebook with the restaurant tagged. The owner saw, and he offered me a free tiramisu with our meal. These are just a few of many examples of the quality of service you get at Dolce Vita. I am absolutely blown away by the accommodation and hospitality of Dolce Vita, and I would recommend it to anyone. From personal experience, I know you’re in good hands with Austin, Noah, or Mandi as your servers; however, I have no doubt that everyone on staff (both at the front and back of house) is dutiful, efficient, and kind.
