Choo Choo Grill Express - Athens

Absolutely 5 stars. 4 of us had lunch, personal friendly, the owners came to meet us. appetizers and meals were excellent. I have three meals alone from mine. I recommend choo choo express.

They give generous portions and plenty of sauce. I enjoy my visits here for lunch and it also makes for a great late night dinner. My only request would be to have a little thicker steak and chicken.

The food is okay, but definitely not what is use to be. I won’t be back though. The sauce was too salty and there was more rice then meat…the veggies are just sad. Sorry.

I ordered the steak and shrimp with a side of rice. The steak’s texture was great and tender however, it was bland — along with the rice, lettuce, and shrimp. Shrimp did not have as good as a texture as the steak. First thoughts: Gosh, it’s a lot of food, my cravings will be satisfied! Afterthoughts: I had like 3 steak nuggets and 4 shrimps. Felt like this is children food. Felt ripped off for the price paid. The rice was supposed to be a side but >50% of the box is filled with rice. It filled the whole bottom of the to-go box with rice and put the steak, shrimp, and lettuce on top to demonstrate the illusion of more meat than there really was.

They've lost my business for not being able to take orders over the phone more than $30. Very annoying, when I just want to call an order in and have kids in the car, I can't wait inside the restaurant to place an order. Not sure why they can't take my credit card information over the phone when placing an order over $30.
