Dionysos - Astoria

This is a lovely restaurant with tasty food and great personalized service. I highly recommend it for both lunch and dinner.

We arrived at Dionysos on a Saturday night at 8:00 and found it to be fairly quiet. However, the atmosphere really picks up at around 10:00 when live music begins. The restaurant quickly fills up and has a welcoming family feel. Overall, we were extremely impressed with the Greek food at Dionysos. The dishes were delicious and the service was excellent. We felt like part of the family right away. The Spanakopita and spicy sausage appetizers were exceptional, and the octopus, lemon potatoes, and seafood pasta were also very good. The portions were generous, and even the bread basket was outstanding. We always appreciate good bread at a restaurant. We highly recommend Dionysos for a great dining experience.

We celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary with close friends in NYC and had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The live band was amazing, and we even had the pleasure of dining and celebrating with a lovely couple who were marking their 50th wedding anniversary. It was a memorable Greek night out with delicious authentic food in Astoria and incredible music. OPA!!! Thank you to everyone, especially Paraskevi!

Wedding day trip (22 years) in NYC with wonderful friends! The live band was fantastic! We had the pleasure and honor to dine and party with a wonderful family, the couple celebrated their 50. Wonderful menu and food, but only one waitress to handle the entire restaurant on a Friday night. She did her best, but was woefully understaffed.
