Frankie Benny's Ashton Moss

We requested steaks. My husband wanted rare and I wanted medium rare. We were very satisfied in how the steak had been cooked. The accompanying food was also very good. Two clean plates. The salad bar was also very good with plenty of choice.

Truly awful experience! My granddaughters and I went to the Harvester as a treat. However, the food took a little over an hour before it arrived and when it did it was mostly vile. My salmon was overcooked and the vegetables wrinkled like they'd been in the hot tub for a week, and therefore inedible. My partner offered a chicken breast instead of rotisserie chicken, it was barely a fillet of chicken and the ribs were vile. The kids were happy with there's though!

To be fair the food was as expected and great. The atmosphere was good and the wait time was not bad also.... But as a Chef myself for 30 years there are some things that should not be seen by your customers, and certainly not done by you FOH staff. Like the chap in a brown checked shirt with facial hair (some form of manager team leader) who stood in front of our table (33) picking his nose and then without washing his hands went behind the bar area and began touching glasses and other items, then while chatting to another member of staff he was putting a pen in his mouth, that he later pushed some food about on a plate to reorganise. This plate was then take to a customer...... This is poor by any standard, and he needs to be re-educated in basic food hygiene and FOH pracace. Sorry this is a poor review but this behaviour was unforgivable.

Despite the restaurant being really busy, we were greeted with a smile by a lovely gentleman called Bailey who showed us to a table. He then served us at the tills where he was so polite to our whole family and catered to all of our needs. Bailey is a credit to Nandos!

Went to Nando’s Ashton today and got served at the table by manish. Great manners and attitude with an attentive attitude. Manish was very polite and with a smile and made sure we had everything. The whole staff in Ashton are very polite with good service attitude. It is the finest Nando’s in Manchester with the best staff. We’ve been to all of them, Stockport, Stretford white city, elk mill( which is the worst), trafford centre, chill factor Nando’s, the forte Nando’s in cheethamhill, Manchester City centre Nando’s, oldham city centre Nando’s etc. but the Ashton nandos is the best. We won’t go to any other one now. There was a brawl in the restaurant between some customers but the staff handled it extremely well even though they were all very young. Keep up the good work Ashton.
