Bidra med feedbackGreat food, quaint location and good quick service. We walked in and the place was booked up, they put us on a wait list that didn’t take long and had a fantastic brunch. The deep fried chicken biscuit (see pic) was tasty as well as our pre-game of Boozy Palmer (I think it should be called a Bad Boozy) and deviled eggs. Good lordt! We will be back!
Small quaint restaurant in the Arts district of Asheville. We heard that the scallop dish was excellent so we had to try it. The scallop quinelle was really good, we never did locate the scallop in the baked dish but there were lobster pieces in the dumpling that were quite tasty. I had the salmon. It was on the dry side and slightly overcooked but the accompanying vegetables were very good. The wait staff was fantastic, no complaints. Overall, a nice place to try.
This was top rated so we decided to visit for our special occasion. The server was very attentive and recommended great options for food and drinks. We liked the drink recommendations, deviled eggs and duck dish the most. Did not like the oysters (oily taste didn’t go well with us). Overall a great choice for an inventive menu and intimate setting.
Highly recommend the oysters- they were not cold but not hot. Amazing mignonette! The veggies were all phenomenal as well. Bartenders were super warm and helpful!Food: 4/5
Finally ate at Vivian. Food was great, so creative and so much flavor in every dish. We had 2 shareable plates (beets and salted cod), steak and Black Forest cake for dessert. Place stays casual which is nice and very Asheville. It would have been great if the bar server who checked us in conveyed to our table server that it’s my husband’s birthday and add a candle to our dessert. The bar server greeted my husband with a ‘Happy Birthday’ greeting. Next table had a candle in their cake which would have been a nice touch for a great dinner. But we are happy with the experience nonetheless.
