Bidra med feedbackExcellent meal. The Steak and Kidney pie was fantastic. Despite many reviews citing the land lady as rude, we found her to be welcoming and really kind. Eat the pie! You wont regret it! Andrew Martina
Like a lot of people we stayed in the adjacent camp site. We reserved an eveiing meal prior to our arrival uas it was the Bank Holiday Weekend. Pub is dog friendly and we were greeted well. Food was excellend with a frairly limited menu but no problem for us and the grandchildren. We also returned for dinner later in the week. Would definitely use again if in the area.
Honestly this place is beautiful the food hygiene is very high standard great value for money and joy just makes it so welcoming she's a star
We stayed in the adjoining Camp site and had 4 very pleasant nights there. The close proximity of the river gave us good walks for the dogs which were made very welcome at the pub when we visited on a couple of occasions. If the Pulled Pork with ham, apple and stilton pie is on the specials board I would thoroughly recommend it it was certainly one of the best pies I have ever eaten (and I 've eaten a few) and was served up with chips and five fresh vegetables. We returned the next day for Sunday lunch and the lovely landlady remembered I 'd enjoyed the pie and told me they had one left. I had the pie again in preference to the roast offering, which did look good.
Having worked here for nearly 12 months I can say honestly that the food and cleanliness is outstanding and it’s a good happy place to work.
