Bidra med feedbackThis cosy traditional restaurant located in mount grappa is a gem in all ways. The location is perfect and and can be a strategic starting point for many treks by feet or mountain bike. The dining area is made out of stones and wood, and the athmosphere is very warmy. Food is cooked in a wooden stove and is all made with local ingredients. There is no menu so it is advisable to reserve your place in advance. Also, there is no electricity and if you are lucky enough you can enjoy your dinner in candlelight! It is possible to sleep overnight and you might also ask Davide, the host, to take you in an educational trek on the following day.
Great lodge run by a friendly and warm-welcoming couple Elena and Davide. Delicious home made food, so lovingly prepared by Elena. Davide is a great World War 1 and history conoisseur and will guide you through his WW1 relics museum and will suggests great hike trails! Comfortable family style lodge, very nice for couples and families with kids. Cozy and warm. It’s always a pleasure coming back here!
My brother-in-law and sister-in-law brought my husband and I here for dinner for my birthday. It was so beautiful. We were welcomed by the owners Davide and his wife Elena very warmly and given it was mine and my husbands first time here they gave us a bit of a run-down on the experience. Being on top of Monte Grappa, they don't have running water or power and so explained how they heated water, used an old wood stove and oven and that we would be dining by candlelight! It was such a beautiful experience and Elena is the most amazing cook! They don't have a menu and you have to call ahead if you would like to dine there as they need to organise a trip down the mountain to buy fresh produce from local suppliers in the area. She prepared a special dish of wild boar that she rarely prepares because of the time and preparation that goes into it. Served with polenta and field mushrooms, let's just say that it was amazing! It's such a beautiful ambience and the views are breathtaking. Davide, who has also written a few books is passionate about the mountain and also organises full day treks and then dinner in the rifugio and educational walks. If you are looking for an experience on the other side of Monte Grappa that isn't so commercial as the others have become, you must visit Rifugio Val Tosella!
Torno sicuramente
