The food and service is very good, I had a very pleasant dinner. Worth a stop. The place is family-run, welcoming. Great house wine.
Simply amazing, from starters to the dessert. The best dish are minestra maritata and patane, pipini and salisicchi.
We were referred to this restaurant by the B&B owner of La Torre Normanna. He said we'd be in good hands and he was so right! The owners, a husband and wife, were very friendly and eager to please. Our first plate was an appetizer of roasted tomato bruschetta; a generous serving of plump, fresh olives; and two freshly made balls of mozzarella. The eye appeal was great and the flavors did not disappoint. The wife explained that she had two types of house made pasta: ravioli with fresh (of course) ricotta filling and cicatelli; and a choice of either tomato sauce or meat sauce, made with tender veal. We indicated we'd love the meat sauce and were struggling to select a pasta when she offered to serve us each a half portion of both pastas! The ravioli were perfect the pasta was a rich yellow and rolled as thinly as possible, just enough to hold the creamy ricotta filling. The cicatelli are shaped with a slender opening that is just right for catching and holding onto the sauce. While we were enjoying the pasta dish, her husband came out and asked if we'd like extra sauce! Of course we said yes. Dining here was just like being with family. We spent four nights in Ariano and had dinner here twice. Neither time did we have the room for any more food, although we would have enjoyed trying other dishes. House wine was a good complement to the food. Prices were very reasonable. The dining room was nicely decorated and many diners arrived after 9:30pm. No problem walking here at night.
