Rio - Argyll Bute

Despite seeing mediocre reviews, I must say that my experience was excellent. My dining companion and I enjoyed a steak, pasta dish, a glass of wine, and a scotch. The food was delicious, especially the tomato soup. Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant.

I ordered a Buttermilk chicken burger that came with two chicken breasts on a small-sized bun. One of the chicken breasts was mostly batter, while the other was very thin. The burger tasted decent, but overall it was mostly a bun with onions, lettuce, and fried batter.

The restaurant offers excellent service and has a welcoming staff. They have a wide variety of wines to choose from. The pizza is decent - not the greatest, but not the worst either. It satisfied my craving for pizza.

My friend and I once again visited Rio restaurant for the third time and everything was perfect. We had dinner last night and the staff are professional and attentive. We come from Glasgow and it is one of our favourite place. We had carbonara and spaghetti Bolognese good portion sizes and piping hot,would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We went into Rio for the first time last week, as our usual choice of restaurant in Oban was closed. The food in Rio was absolutely first class and this will now be our new go-to place for lunch, when next on holiday in the area. The pizza I had was really tasty and plenty of toppings, and the seafood pasta dish my partner had was FAB-U-LOUS. Not only did it look awesome, there was so much seafood in it, he was in foodie heaven lol. Highly recommended. The staff were lovely and the service was great too.
