La Casita De Merche - Arequipa

They have a small place with amazing food that is also gluten free (even chocolate cake)!!!! They basically only one 100% safe for celiac like me in Arequipa!

This is the most beautiful restaurant in Arequipa! Quiet and cozy, furniture and decorations in "shappy chic" style. I love it.We ate the menu of the day, the starter and the main dish were great! There is so much more on the menu that I'd like to try.

It's a nice place in a quiet part of the city with friendly service. The veggie food is awesome with a bunch of gluten free options. I went for lunch two days in a row because it was so tasty. The quinoa burger is the bomb. The prices are reasonable and the music's good too!

After a night on a bus travelling from Naszca to Arequipa, we were all really hungry and happened to walk past the door of this place. The sign outside said vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options, so we thought we'd give it a try.Wow! Lots of lovely choices and some really difficult decisions to be made.Finally we shared a portion of vegan pancakes (part of a breakfast deal including freshly ground coffee and fresh juice) and a veggie wrap, which had quinoa and deliciously ripe avocado amongst its ingredients. Our companion had an eggplant veganas accompanied by the best hummus I've ever tasted.Every mouthful was a gastronomic explosion of wonderful flavours, what a fantastic advertisement for vegan food!Thank you Arequipa, this is one of your best kept secrets!
