Parador De Antequera

We were staying at the hotel and decided to have dinner one night here. The food was excellent, locally sourced, well prepared and presented. Wait staff was attentive and helpful in making decisions for those of us u certain for what we were going to have.

We do not like to eat a large meal late in the evening as is the custom (or so it appears) in Spain so try to get something around 3pm and as we were in the town and saw there was a Parador we just dropped in. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful if they tried and the command of English from everyone we encountered puts us Brit’s to shame. The food we had was served promptly, matched the description in the menu (not always the case) and was very good indeed and very reasonably priced, just what we wanted and have come to expect from Parador hotels the length and breadth of Spain. Try here when you want to give tapa a rest and have a proper meal.

The airy dining room at the parador in Antequera has lovely views across the plain to the Sleeping Giant Mountain. The food was very local and delicious.

Not page this price but much more, but worth good treatment, quiet, super comfortable, super full breakfast, repeat

We've spent a few great days in this paradox. the food, the cleaning, the staff, the atmosphere, the rooms. all excellent to rest and enjoy the pool and its excellent restaurant and cafeteria. We'll be back!
