La ferme de Ferrieres - Annecy

The setting of the restaurant is great. Perfect view over the lake and in the middle of beautiful countryside. That is where the good part of this restaurant ends. Service abominable. Waited over 50 mins for our meal, which was nothing complicated cheese fondue. I wouldn't have minded much had we had a visit from the waitress in between asking if we wanted something to drink. But no, nothing. Then when we pushed to ask about our meal and drinks, we got the salad with no sauce. We had ordered wine, and 20 mins into the meal we still had not been served with it. Food abominable. The cheese fondue had no taste. I think they substituted the wine in the fondue with water. Really. Really bad. Spoiled the evening. Then coffee. I mean you cannot get an espresso wrong, can you? Can you? Here yes. Burnt coffee. When we came to pay there was a queue a mile long. Not sure what organisation they had going on but they just seem lost and it is a shame because it has amazing potential. Not one of the waitresses smiled during the evening meal either. Maybe they had tasted the food. Recommend you give this one a miss.

Incredible view from this restaurant. Food is ok, nice staff and homemade food. We had tartiflette and diots. Waitress offered more which is nice! I would recommend
