This is a fantastic place to visit, with friendly and accommodating staff and management. While I'm not a heavy drinker, I found that the fruity cider from Magners is 30p cheaper and much more enjoyable than the Strongbow at a nearby pub. The pricing for different suppliers and types of dark fruit ciders varies from one pub to another. The venue features a great pool table and a wide range of offerings. I'm only discussing the public bar area, which is just one part of a larger establishment that hosts functions, dances, parties, live bands, karaoke, and more. It's also a nice spot for a small buffet after a funeral. Kudos to Stevie and Grace!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, which offered great value. We ordered one portion of haddock and chips and one burger with chips, both accompanied by a small side salad. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place; it was described to me as "cheap and cheerful," but it's actually better than that. While it’s not fine dining, it’s definitely worth a visit for lunch.

Don't be put off by its appearance from the outside—it may look a bit worn down, but it's definitely worth stepping inside! My family and I visited during a day trip to Annan, and we were pleasantly surprised. The interior is very clean and well-maintained, including the restrooms. The menu offers a wide variety of popular dishes, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. My son enjoyed a three-course meal for just £9.95, which included soup, chili con carne, and apple crumble. He said everything was delicious! My dad ordered a beef roast dinner, and it was a generous portion; he claimed it was the best meal he had since coming to the UK. The rest of us tried the leek and potato soup, which was delightful. I couldn't resist getting the apple crumble with custard, even though I was already quite full from the soup, and I was not disappointed. The waitress was friendly and attentive, promptly clearing away dirty dishes and bringing out second and third courses. Overall, we had a wonderful meal in this charming little town.

We stumbled upon this place for lunch and it turned out to be a little gem of a place!, staff were attentive, helpful and friendly, We only bad a small lunch, but certainly not because of the lack of choice, as the menu offers a broad range and variety, we are looking forward to returning to try out the specials that are also available, we recommend this great wee restaurant for all the reasons mentioned, plus as the owners have taken measures to make it very wheelchair friendly which is a refreshing change from so many other places that can, but won’t make the effort, warm and welcoming, we will definitely return, As I suspect everyone else will after the first experience
