Bidra med feedbackAfter finding out my first lunch option had sold out for the day, I ended up at this small store as a backup choice. The business originally started as a catering service before opening this brick-and-mortar location on Packard Rd a few years ago. Inside, there was a picnic-style table and a countertop area with seating for four on stools. The menu was displayed on butcher paper attached to aluminum cooking sheets above the service counter. They offered sandwiches, burgers, salads, sides, soups, small entrees, and desserts. I decided on the Korean BBQ beef sandwich, which featured braised beef brisket in sesame and soy, topped with cucumber kimchi on an onion bun. The kimchi had a mild heat to it. I wished a small side was included in the somewhat pricey $10 meal. While other menu items may have been worth a try, my sandwich earned a three-star rating.
It has been a while since I visited this restaurant, but the food was excellent. The service was fast, and although there was only bar window seating, the food was delicious. The restaurant was very clean.
This small local restaurant offers a variety of dishes with unique twists in flavors, including Korean options. The staff was friendly and we had no trouble finding a seat. The restaurant seems to mainly focus on takeout and catering events. As for the food, it was hit or miss. During my dinner with an old friend, we tried the house salad, Korean BBQ loaded fries, pork with black bean soup, and Korean BBQ sandwich. Our favorite dish was the loaded fries due to the well-balanced flavors, especially the spicy aioli. However, we were not fans of the cucumber kimchi and found the beef to be too salty. The Korean BBQ sandwich seemed to be made with Jangjorim (Soy Braised Beef), which was overly salty and seemed to have absorbed too much liquid. I would not recommend it. The pork with black bean soup was served lukewarm and had an average flavor. The house salad was decent, but I couldn't taste the lemon herb vinaigrette. I would suggest trying the loaded fries, but I wouldn't recommend much else. I am giving it 3 stars for now, but I may revisit to sample other menu items. There is parking available in both the front and back of the restaurant.
I stopped by and picked up a Sloppy Youssef sandwich and an order of the Spaetzle. The sandwich was definitely sloppy so plan on eating it with a fork. The seasoned lamb on the sandwich was very tasty but very juicy. The spaetzle with caramelized onions and mushrooms was very good. This place does not have much seating and most people seem to pick up orders. It isn't fast food so if you want your order ready when you arrive, call ahead. There is a parking lot behind the building.
We ordered delivery from here a couple weeks back and it made for a very satisfying meal. Maryland style crab cakes these very quite tasty but we wished the portions were larger given the price Vegetable tagine YUM! Real authentic Moroccan flavors here, very nice and would order again Mac cheese it's a big ol' hunk of comforting, delish mac cheese. We split it in two as sides and it was still a fair amount of food. Would order again, very good baked mac. We want to try the butternut squash risotto sometime! In the past I've had (some of these no longer regular menu items, or depends on which location you order from : Beef brisket pot roast everything you could want in a pot roast. Tender meat, yummy veggies. I just wish there were more veggies : Mushroom spatzel incredible, have had this multiple times. Order it if it's available. Tahini potato salad very good. Get it. Sloppy yusef lamb burger SO GOOD. Really wish this were still on the menu regularly. Cubano sandwich Another favorite. Can't go wrong. Korean bbq beef sandwich Also extremely good. A wise choice. Side of roasted vegetables quite nice roasted veggies, but a larger portion would be appreciated for the price. I'm sure I've missed a few items but I've never regretted anything I've ordered here, just some really stand out above others. My biggest gripe would be the quantity for the price, but I know they make everything with care and source great ingredients, so you get what you pay for!
