Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant is like a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. The food is delicious and the location is fantastic. It's a great stopover spot on the way to Mangalore or Hubli. There's even a Cafe Coffee Day nearby, although they are not affiliated. The restaurant also offers parking facilities.
If you are searching for a good place, for a break, in between Mangalore
While I was residing in Bengaluru few years back, I used to travel quite frequently to my native place in Goa. This restaurant was one of the very few places where buses plying on the Goa - Bengaluru route would stop for breakfast and dinner. The place used to be crowded most of the times. The service was quick. I mostly tried the dishes which were easily available in South India. Food was of decent quality and good quantity. Service was acceptable. There are not many restaurants nearby along the highway. As a result of that, this restaurant offers a better choice with decent standards. Prices are reasonable. Your experience can vary depending on the time of the day you visit as well as the waiter serving you. Don't go with too much expectation.
We visited this restaurant on December 3rd, 2016 and were once again impressed with the excellent vegetarian options available. The variety of vegetarian dishes they offer is extensive. We decided to order the Veg Machanwala, Dal Tadka, and Tandoori Rotis, all of which were of fantastic quality. After our meal, we also ordered some buttermilk, which was also very good. While they do have wheat chapati on their menu, what stood out to us was the honest recommendations provided by the staff. When we inquired about the freshness of the wheat chapatis, we were informed that they were pre-cooked and then warmed before serving. Similarly, when we asked about the quality of the buttermilk, we were assured that it was of good quality, and it indeed was. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious vegetarian lunch or dinner.
Located on the Mangalore to Goa highway, this hidden gem is a welcome sight for hungry travelers. With ample parking and room to stretch your legs, it's the perfect pit stop to refuel before continuing your journey. The food is tasty and the service is prompt. However, it can get a bit loud and crowded at times, especially when tourist buses with large groups make a stop. Overall, it's a convenient option in an otherwise limited area.
