Alohana Hawaiian Grill - Ankeny

Reminds me of hawaii!. I used to live in Honolulu and eat loco mocos almost everyday. After I left I was stuck trying to make it myself. Then I found this restaurant.....ugh. Reminds me of Hawaii so much. I just love it!

It's a little bit of Hawaii right here in Iowa. Great food, friendly service and good prices. Where else in town can you get a loco moco?

Ono!!! Da Kine Local Grines!!!. I just come back from stay Kailua (Oahu) to visit classmates and my husband/friends first time visit to Hawaii. While we stay there, I show them the plate lunch at Zippy's and loco mocos. Last night tried Alohana Hawaiian Grill and it was ono!!! I had the BBQ beef and my husband had da kine BBQ chicken. We also tried the musubi spam and crab rangoon awesome!! We will definately be back to try the Kalua pork another favorite. Now if they would just add manapua and crisp fried gow gee, I would be in heaven!

Love love love this place!!. The food so reminds me of food my mother cooked when I was growing up. This food is the real meal you would have if you were in someone's home. This is NOT asian food made by mexican cooks, or what a chinese cook thinks americans want, this is the real deal!

Realy good food, nice music, and good service for sure I am coming back.
