The Dirty South - Angleton

Stopped in for lunch.. This place has a great country vibe to it. The staff were great and the restaurant is very clean. I had there french toast version of the Monte Cristo. I found it much better than any fried version I've ever had. To bad I was only in town for lunch I would have liked to catch one of their live shows.

Traditional country breakfast. I think the best thing that we ordered was the pancakes by far. Biscuits and gravy were pretty good. Everything was good but the pancakes were exceptional. I think it's a nice venue for live music. But I wasn't able to stay for the evening. I saw some people next order the fried shrimp it looked super tasty. I would go back and try it again.

Dinner was great and the appetizer...the brisket tots were so good!!! I had the Spiked Peach Tea very tasty..... but the house sweet tea was no good even the waitress was like yeah it sucks....I asked well why don't yall fix that. The live band was awesome. Planning our next trip in a few weeks and we definitely want to try brunch!

Service was a little slow... Waitress did send our apps back.. because she didn't approve of them...alot of visiting in the kitchen... if your more than 180lbs... AVOID the high chairs. ..you won't fit. Ordered was Fried pickle and peppers apps... Cheese burger Blackened Red Fish Lobster Mac and Cheese 60$ Been a few times...my last visit was 7/14/22... im going to give the benefit of doubt that we were early. They open at 11 and we were there at 11... the issue.... the burgers had NO flavor.. no salt..no pepper. Just flavored w grease and cheese and the fries are an afterthought... may have had 12 fries in my bowl.

Came for dinner the band. ABSOFRICKENLUTLY the worst meal I've ever had. Ended up ordering the fried chicken nuggets...due to food allergy. The gravy was cold had a thick skin, like it had set for an hour. It honestly acted tasted like rubber. The chicken was tough and cold. Didn't try the fries..by then I was so disgusted. The prices are STUPID high I feel like the kitchen staff are lazy. What a waste of . I have had okay food here before, but don't care to try it again. Get more staff!!!
