Romano's - Anchorage

If you receive drinks in less than 15 minutes, Entrees soon ordered, then waited for 2 hours and never got another drink or our food so that we left. They weren't busy telling you about the photos. You didn't blame us for the drinks. Maybe I'll go back.

We came to dinner on Monday, so the massive restaurant was quite empty, but very clean. Our server was very nice and we took his recommendations for food. Big portions, my chicken came on a bed when noodles that were dry and needed some sauce. The other plate the pasta was on the thick side. The food was decent, but on the expensive side for what it was. Probably another Italian restaurant next time will try, we are for it.

Eating is great! I love to dinate here for authenic italian instead of olive garden.

When we arrived (Party of 4) they said they were short on menus so we need to share and that they were from salad, although they were almost empty. The food lasted about an hour to arrive and they forgot to have a drink, but remembered to add it to the bill. The food was good when it finally came, but the service was unpleasant and when the food arrived, there was no explanation why some of the ducks had additional secondary dishes and others not. Wouldn't go back and we all asked us how it was in business after all these years.

Under new management the quality has changed dramatically. The menu has been edited down. The wine list is not descriptive, the wait staff have no idea what is available. Loud Mexican music coming from the kitchen (It is an Italian restaurant after all) The food was ill prepared and my shrimp dish made me sick. We have been going there for years, we will not go there again. I’m sorry the restaurant has gone down so fast after being open for so many years.
