Bidra med feedbackSuch great character and atmosphere and eating is excellent. this place is amazing. there is a teenage couple dressed in the corner as they go to prom, a table of bikern, a guy who looks homeless, another guy who carries ski equipment inside, and a few who look like they have been married for 50 years and still laughing together. oh, and an ol timer that wore a barrette sat just over the room. go, they fit right in, and eating is extraordinary.
What an amazing picturesque cajun corner of anchorage. the decoration is random, the floors are worn, the tables do not fit and honest, that is the best part. it is authentic, raw and robust. eating was absolutely perfect. my engagement has the gumbo platter (I recommend sharing this between 2 or 3 people! and I have the red beans rice bowl with a jalapeño corn muffin. both dishes were large portions and very hearty. I recommend this place if you like to come from the tourist traps and into a beautiful hole in the wall!
To visit one of my most favorite places! eating is amazing and the service is excellent.
The food was delicious! we tried the po’boys, gumbo, jambalaya and etouffe. the limonade also tastes freshly squeezed. some dishes are spicy, so if they don't like spices, make sure to ask them to ask them down. one of our favorites so far! plus, service is amazing! everyone is so friendly.
Delicious food, large portions, fun old country music. Our table had the BBQ pork po’boy, the blackened catfish, and the angel hair pasta with sausage, chicken, shrimp and spicy cream sauce. A tip from me: try their homemade lemonade, served in a small mason jar.
