Mcotto's - Anamosa

The food was terrible, and it was burned.. never going back

Had a great lunch with my son. The waiter was very attentive and helpfull. My son had the Wings and I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich. Very good flavor. I would highly recommend this family restaurant in Anamosa,Iowa!

We called in a few days in advance for a large group and were told we would have staff to cover. The place wasn’t busy but we spent close to 30 minutes waiting for someone to take our food orders. Our drinks were not refilled and it took quite a while for me to get my food and it was cooked wrong. By the time I recieved it everyone was done eating. The ribeye was disgusting, pretty much fat and gristle. My sister ordered chicken fettuccine and the noodles were dry and the chicken very overcooked. The staff was apathetic and when we finally got up to get our checks (another 20 minute wait) one waitress was on her phone and another just sitting at a table. I was charged for my meal with no offer of compensation.

Restaurant was clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. We got our food quickly and enjoyed our meals. Even being short handed the 2 ladies working handled it like champs! Definitely will be returning.

Went to supper recently. We had great service the food was good.
