Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Amite

Horrible service. 4 cars in line. I don't like drive thru's so no problem I'll go inside. I'm told there is no counter service, drive thru only. I go get in line, and the line does not move for 10 minutes. One car gets served, then there is another 5 minute wait. Then another 5 minute wait. Then another 5 minute wait. Finally it's my turn, I begin to order my food. I get out one item and I'm told to hold on. 5 minutes later I get to order the rest of my food. I pull around to the side where the window is, there are no other cars in line, and she waves at me to stop before I get to the window. This is so the drive thru timer is not activated. I wait a minute then say f**k it. I hope they do get in trouble for taking too long. Now I'm at the window and there is no sense of urgency. Quite the opposite, they are inside joking and laughing and cutting up. I will not be back.

Not sure what the problem is with this location lately but they USED to be one of the better locations. The past three times I have attempted to go there, all within the past month and around 7:00pm each time, the employee on the speaker is rude as can be. Then all three times they say cash only , two of the three times they only had limited chicken available. If you do make It to the window, the employees are full of attitude and even more rude. It is like they are intentionally running customers off and don 't want to cook any food. The Kentwood, La location used to be the absolute worst but Amite is running a close race now and working on permanently losing business from me.

Stopped in this afternoon and was told by a staff member that the dining room was closed and we had to use the drive through after ordering at the drive through we noticed that people were walking in and ordering when we got our food I asked the lady at drive through if dining room was actually open and she said yes I am going to assume that the Girl that told us it was closed was probably getting off work and did not want to have to clean up anything either way, very bad customer service on their end food was mediocre at best will not be going back

I promise you do not go here. Waited in Line for 15 minutes with 3 cars. Once we payed we waited 40 minutes and still no food. Everyone is just coming and going because it's taking forever. Went in there all the lady's just laughing, just hanging around at cash register. One of them no gloves, touching his mouth and touching everything even the food. Took them 10 minutes to give me a refund. Slow, lazy people working there

Popeyes more like my eyes are popping out is was so good. They got the fried chicken down, and the biscuits butter believe they are a slam dunk!! You can go inside here, or you can go wait out in the drive through, but it's much quicker to go in, just remember your mask to keep those great chefs safe! Do your self a favour and take a trip to this Louisiana staple in Mississippi. Food guy Steve gives this one two hot honey covered thumbs up!
