Black Bear Diner - American Fork

We went to dinner here last night, It was one of the best experiences we’ve had! The service was awesome! I wasn’t able to catch any of their names but they were the ones working Sunday (7-16) around 5pm. Every single person working was working hard and had the best customer service! Their Managment should be proud rewarding the work of all these individuals!!

Good things that happened: our server was very kind and understanding. We were treated well. The tri-tip dip is my favorite thing on the menu, you have to get it deluxe with the mushrooms and onions, so good! Portion sizes are great. Things that went wrong: service was very very slow. We were there around an hour and a half for lunch. We were told the soup of the day was potato but when we tried it, it was clearly clam chowder. The server had assumed it was potato but if someone had a severe shellfish allergy (my husband has a mild one) it could have been really really bad. We let service know so it doesn't happen again. The pot roast my husband got was mediocre and they forgot his mashed potatoes. They forgot to add our kids' chocolate milk to the bill so we had to go correct it up front.

Outstanding. Anthony my waiter was awesome and I don't find that often. Salmon dinner on steamed spinach was delicious. I had a dinner elsewhere in the region cost 4x as much and wasn't even close in food quality. Total cost for dinner tea here? $15. Just .

It’s been great every time we’ve been! We went on Mother’s Day and they were busy but efficient! Even with one waitress going home sick! Pancakes are the best I’ve ever had! Chicken fried steak and home style potatoes are also sooo yummy!

ETA: Fun, yummy place for a comfort meal. My daughter and I went this morning and sat at the counter. Great food and kind, attentive service. We had a great time. This is a good spot for tasty comfort food. We had a larger party and service was great! Lots of variety on the menu, something for everyone.
