Very impressed. Great people working there, top value especially the ham and cheese plate. I’ve never had red vino verde before, but that is why I am going back.

Pequeno bar pitoresco na cidade de Amarante, Portugal. Aqui experimentamos o vinho verde, na variedade branco e tinto. Este último é servido numa pequena tigela. Os vinhos foram acompanhados de frios e queijo local.

Taberna muito simpática para tomar um bom vinho verde e enchidos locais a um preço imbatível. De realçar a gentileza da empregada que nos deu uma prova do vinho tinto e nos explicou porque o servem frio.

This tiny establishment is easy to miss, but is well worth seeking out. Tiny, with an almost cave-like interior from the dark stone walls. Very rustic wooden tables and stools add to the ambience. My wife and I had a plate of bread, cheese and ham which we shared for lunch; this was ideal and very good value. Good, friendly service. Local wines, cheeses and cured meat are also available for purchase.
