Bidra med feedbackHave eaten in cambalache restaurants since they opened many years ago. sat there with friends and was surprised to find only a few people eating there. service was pretty bad and the meat we ordered was small according to their standard and not so good. as expected
The steaks are good in taste, but the cuts are not so good when some have the fat in the middle when it should be on the edge. for a steakhouse they still seem to experiment with temperatures, because it is somehow. hit or miss when they ask for medium or their preferred understanding. white wine is limited and very boring. the prices are high. I am not sure that there are many steak houses in this opposite, but generally in Mexico City they are better off to sunora grill, it is prime filialen, rincón argentino, puerto madero and harry’s. my experience of cambalache in polanco masaryk is similar, but in a worse sense.
This place pretends to be a nice place for cuts, some of them nice some others not that good, aspires to high class as represented, wine list was extensive and expensive, but also contained a good selection of respectable, more moderately priced wines. Unfortunately our...dinner 3 adults was pleasant enough and the price with couple rounds of drinks and one bottle of wine was about USD 670 plus tip , which is really expensive for Mexico, we came for a nice steak well one of my customers wants to eat here and he said this is a nice place, then after he confirms it was his first time so, we just wlk in, did not make a reservation. The waiter made a big deal about it but, by exception was so nice to give us a table however, this che mentioned next time we really had to make a reservation and he was doing us a big favour, almost ALL tables around us remained empty through our dinner, just because my client was like a child in Disneyland I stayed...
This is a good Argentinian steak house, with great salads, starters, well served drinks and a good wine list. Went there in a Wednesday not many people around. Place needs to freshen up a bit. It is pricey and looks tired . Still a good option...if you are ever in the South of Mexico City near Ciudad Universitaria. The whole parking situation is complicated and the shopping mall is very crowded.
Recently I visited cambalache escenaria in Mexico City with my family. we, where we are greeted with a smile and a very polite guy who brought us to our table. Drinks, where properly serve and out the bottle, we ordered the empanada and the bife meat. we finished the meal with a very special dessert with a mont blanche! to die. very recommended. enjoys!
