Restaurante O Cantinho da Mimosa

Aproveitamos este Restaurante à beira da estrada para o Algarve para pararmos e almoçar. Comemos uma feijoada e umas lulas guisadas. Pratos bem confecionados e preços bastante apelativos.

Used to have a meal in this restaurant every time I was traveling towards Algarve.The lady who runs this restaurant is quite friendly and we felt very welcome here.The price is great so this became a go-to place on our journey to Algarve.Back in July this year after a dinner in this restaurant, me and my wife have had strong stomach pain, nausea and diarrhea for the whole weekend. I even had to go to the hospital on the Monday after, as I was getting dehydrated and couldn’t eat anything at all!! Had to be at home from Saturday to Tuesday to recover and felt really sick the whole time. My wife recovered after 24 hours…. This weekend we went again to the Algarve, stopped at the same restaurant. I had pork meat with clams and my wife had grilled chicken.On the morning after I was again sick with nausea and couldn’t eat anything at all for the whole day. Have slept the whole day. Luckily I felt better on Sunday morning, however my wife had the exact same symptoms of sickeness on Sunday for the whole day. Today (Monday) she felt better and fortunately she could go to work.I may not have 100% sure that there’s something wrong with this restaurant but honestly I won’t return as nothing will make me change my mind that there’s some bacteria, lack of cleaning, etc… around that makes me sick in this place. Have had 2 terrible weekends in Algarve thanks to this place!!!Be careful.
