Gamskogelhutte - Altenmarkt Im Pongau

For a quick lunch, snack or extended buffet, all is present and either self-service or a friendly waiter helps you out.

This alm can be reached by the Gamskogelbahn. You have to ski a little bit down to reach this alm. It is nice wooden alm with beautifull views. It is quite big. The food and drinks are served on selv help manner. You choose your...drinks and foods of your choice and pay at the counter. There are a lot of austrian food to choose in between and the food is ok. The prices are resonable. You can relax here and enjoy the view while you eat/drink.

Skiing in zauchensee last week. we stopped for lunch at midday. service was friendly and fast. many choices in drinks and eating. the payment in plastic was possible. we sat outside where the sun was best at heaven. after lunch we rested an hour in one of the relaxing chairs. perfecto would I say:

Great outdoor terrace, with magnificent view. eating was good, and the ambiente is good. we had a well fed glucose and very tasty sausage with cheese.

The location is nice and when sunny has a nice exposure. The service is really very fast...still wondering how they could have the time to cook! Maybe some dishes are already partially prepared and this could explain the average food quality. If you don't know...where to stop, give it a trial.
