Wishbone Broasted Chicken - Allen Park

My nephew was up from Monroe for a visit and requested his favorite from Wishbone: the 4 pc tenders. So disappointing to have gotten the 4pc bone-in dinner.... not the same! We also ordered the Wishbone salad. Most of the lettuce was brown, the bacon half cooked, and the chicken was hard and looked like petrified wood. We literally had to make our own salad from the pieces of lettuce that weren't suspect, microwaved the bacon, added turkey from our fridge, and tossed the tomatoes as we requested no tomatoes due to medical reasons. It was very obvious that it was premade and had been sitting for a few days. The ribs and chicken were a huge disappointment, too. Ribs were tough and pink, and parts of the chicken breast was hard to chew. This isn't the first time I have been very disappointed with a meal. I want to think that everyone is off sometimes, but 3 times in 5 visits? I don't know what has happened to what was once the jewel of Allen Park. But my advice is to listen to your customers, not just the compliments but the complaints as well.

We have been coming here for broasted chicken for as long as I can remember. We live out of town now and always try to stop in when we are in the area. Yesterday we came in to get the chicken dinner and eat at your new snack bar. The girl at the counter said it would take 20 minutes which we expected, but when we got our food and began to eat the chicken, it was cold so i am not sure what they cooked for 20 minutes but it most certainly was not our chicken. Every time we have ever gotten chicken it is steaming hot (Broasted) The potatoes were hot so maybe that is what took 20 minutes. The Green Bean casserole was terrible and tasted sour. We were in a hurry so we did not have time to complain at the time but wanted to be sure you knew we were very disappointed! Sorry but we will not be back again! And that is very sad since this was always our favorite place.

Great quality tasty chicken! Friendly staff!!all the food is great! Rice pudding my favorite! They are going to open an area for outside dining real soon!!

First time back since the remodel. Very disappointed with the food. Ordered a large barrel and the chicken is the smallest pieces I have ever seen. A lot of our chicken had a fishy taste. The corn bread was super dry. As soon as you bit into it, it just crumbled. The potato wedges were good.

If I could give zero stars I would! Our 20 minute order turned into 54 minutes. Chicken was good and hot but the fries were so soggy, cold, and not edible. Very disappointed and definitely won’t be back.
