Bidra med feedbackI attended a fantastic concert by Oliver Koletzki at this restaurant last night. The music, atmosphere, location, and everything else were wonderful. However, I would suggest fixing the air conditioning. It was extremely humid last night, reaching 92%, and the nightclub felt unbearably hot. It was not the comfortable kind of heat like Marilyn Monroe, but more like being in hell.
My friends and I stopped by The Spice Cellar during happy hour and found it to be a relaxed atmosphere with no club scene. It wasn't very crowded, which was perfect for us to grab some drinks and snacks. The food was delicious, especially the bruschetta and prosciutto wrapped baked dates. The mushroom rice was decent. The bar staff was friendly and gave us some great suggestions for other places to check out. I would definitely return.
This year's Vivid festival may have painted the town in bright colors, but I found myself venturing twenty feet underground to explore a sunken cellar. This unique establishment combines the elements of a small bar - offering food, wine, and cocktails - with a nightclub ambiance featuring DJs and dancing, making it the perfect spot to bypass the Sydney lockout restrictions. The bar's food menu includes a variety of options, such as witlof boats of Tuna Crudo and freshly shucked Oysters with Champagne mignonette. Vegetarian dishes are also available, from feta-stuffed Filo Cigars to Grilled Haloumi with cucumber, lemon, and dill. One standout dish is the Warm Cauliflower Salad with chickpeas, parsley, tahini, and black sesame seeds. The menu pairs well with a selection of wines, such as the Spanish 2012 Colours Chardonnay, but the real highlight is the creative cocktail menu. Standout drinks include the Good Voodoo, featuring absinthe and gin with pink grapefruit, and the Keep On Keeping On, made with banana-infused Tennessee whiskey, bitters, and smoked maple syrup.
One of the good nightclubs I was able to find in Sydney, located just at Martin pl. Friendly crowd, polite bouncers and face control, and great DJs spinning the decks till early morning. Highly recommended!
Went here for my birthday and had a great night! Super tasty cocktails Reality Check is no misnomer. Blew my head off. Music was awesome too.
