Southern Smoke Bbq - Alexandria

I ordered fried catfish, very good and crispy and my favorite, collard greens were the best, had a taste of hubby' s ribs had great smoky flavor. I asked for extra crispy okra and that's exactly what I had. The owners are very warm and friendly so I can be sure to bring the family with us next time, I know they won't be dissapointed.

This was, without a doubt, the worst customer service I have ever encountered! My visit could have been quick and easy if not for her rudeness and lack of consideration. This was my second experience at this restaurant, and unfortunately, the service was terrible once again. Lesson learned—never again! With their mediocre food, you would think they would at least offer some good old southern hospitality. How hard can it be?

The brisket was outstanding, and the baked beans and mac and cheese were also really delicious. I’m looking forward to trying the ribs or chicken next time, along with more from their extensive selection of sides. The meats are smoked outdoors using real wood flame smokers. It's refreshing to have a fantastic non-chain restaurant in the area. Welcome to the neighborhood!

It appears that the restaurant may have permanently closed. We tried to have lunch there on Tuesday at 12:30, but found the place completely locked up, with the lights off and no cars in the parking lot. Although the sign on the door stated they open from Tuesday to Saturday at 11:00, it was obviously closed. I suggest calling ahead before visiting, as you could waste your time driving there for no reason.

This restaurant is a fantastic find! It feels like a little slice of paradise for lunchtime. A group of us visited one day, and we enjoyed it so much that we returned twice more that week! Now, having lunch there has become a weekly tradition for us. The ribs are absolutely amazing! They're so delicious that I haven't even had the chance to try anything else on the menu. They truly stand out! For side dishes, I usually order the greens and coleslaw, both of which are excellent! I've never had any issues with the service, so it seems things have improved since earlier reviews mentioned them. To be honest, we typically go during lunch, so I can't comment on the service at other times, but we almost always have the same waitress, and she is fantastic! If I try other items from the menu in the future, I will be sure to update my review!
