My favorite coffee spot in the DMV! Delicious homemade food, pastries, and a large variety of coffee flavors! My favorites were their croissant, almond croissant, tomatoes quiche, and lox bagel. They close early so keep that in mind!!Food: 5/5

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. A military friend of mine showed me where it was and explained to me the history of how it opened (she knew the previous owners of the shop). The lavender coffee is amazing!!!! So great that I started drinking lavender tea as a staple with my dinner (game changer). The staff are amazing, and the type of customers it attracts feels so small town yet modern. I love it and definitely recommend swinging by!

Grounded Coffee Shop (GCS) is my FAVORITE coffee shop in VA. I love their food! Everyone else does too because their fresh pastries sell out daily. My favorites are the breakfast egg croissants! ?GCS has some of the best coffee and an affectionate staff. They make great lattes. I typically order a hazelnut latte, so they named my drink, Maile-Haze. Lol! In addition, I like how close GCS is to my place and Oldtown. I can study or catch up with friends easily. I like how Carla decorates the cafe. The atmosphere is student friendly as well as family friendly.I recommend Grounded Coffee Shop! ?Kid-friendliness: The families from The Little Gym come over after gymnastics.

The decor is so cute and homey. the staff was super inviting and friendly. they have a vast variety of different flavors for lattes. the lead barista, angelina, is extremely knowledgeable and talented. it’s obvious she knows what she’s doing. i had the chicken blt the first time i was here and today i had the french dip roast beef, both were delicious and beautifully plated. the pastries are clearly homemade and absolutely scrumptious. highly recommend this local mom n pop coffee shop 13/10
