Gold Star Chili - Alexandria

The coneys are almost to good, like, the white castle of hot dogs.

My all time favorite chili , fries , cheeseburger, place !! Gold Star has something for everyone. With so much great food on the menu I could literally eat here every day.

Tried burger for first time. Pretty good. Servers very good.

I enjoy dining at this restaurant and it is a great place. However, my only issue is when I try to order my food. I simply request a chicken bacon ranch sandwich, but the person taking my order asks if I want fries with that, despite me clearly stating that I only want the sandwich. It is frustrating that I always have to clarify that I do not want fries. Another issue is that when I order two strips of bacon, I expect to receive two full strips, not one and a half slices. I feel like I am being shortchanged on my bacon when I eat there, which is not ideal.

The restaurant had a very cozy and clean environment with friendly staff. The food was fresh, hot, and served in generous portions. Overall, it was the best experience I have ever had at Gold Star, and I have been a loyal fan for years.
