Mean Fiddler - Albany

Children under 10 eat for free when accompanied by an adult. We enjoyed the $25 cake pint and the wide variety of options on the children's menu, especially the delicious pizza and black sausage. The burgers and cocktails were also fantastic. Prices for some menu items may be higher, but there is something for everyone. The hotel is conveniently located on Albany's main street and stands out as a popular dining spot in the area. We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Albany.

I had vermouth chicken which melted in the mouth and chocolate lava cake which I can only say deserved to be in a fine dining restaurant. I would recommend not missing out on the taste sensation awaiting your taste buds. The staff are extremely friendly and service was wonderful.

So I've been to the Mean Fiddler many a times and i just have to share this little gem hiding at the bottom of the main strip. Weather its dinner for two, lunch with the girls or a big celebration the Mean fiddler is the place to go. The food is always amazing, ive never had a bad dish. I highly recommend either the Pork Belly and Scallops or the Fuji Plate(tempura soft shell **** and prawns) and then the Chocolate passion or the Chocolate Lava cake. Its a credit to the Chef (who's always happy and welcoming) and his team for making this place so enjoyable. I cant wait to go back time and time again.

We mistakenly believed we had booked for 18 people, our mistake but they fit us in at short notice. The food was plentiful and great tasting while being good value.
