Osteria Era Nuova - ALBA

If ones customer orders 1x alla vecchia maniera (9€ and 1x La Composta (8€ to share between 5, one does not simply decide in the kitchen to double the portion of the alla vecchia maniera and triple the portion of the La Composta without consulting said customer. As the manager, it is unprofessional to approach the mix up by first blaming the waiter, then the kitchen staff, and finally the customer. It is unacceptable to change the quantity of orders without the customer 's knowledge and to then argue with the customer over the number of slices of meat on the plate (according to the manager, it 's 8€ for one slice of veal . We paid 24€ for a vegetable antipasti, 8€ more than the most expensive secondi piatti. This was unbelievable. To top off the shocking service, the roast pork that 2 of us ordered was dry and tasteless.

We arrived hungry and were pleased to demolish three fine antipasto plates. They comprised a tasty fonduta, a light vegetable flan and excellent roasted pepperoni con bagna cauda, a tangy local delight. The good house barbera seemed just the right accompaniment to the two, somewhat bland, pasta and bean soup dishes that followed.

We went as a groups visiting Alba from Turin! We visited churches and historical places in Alba. We finished the day with lunch here. For a group of 7, I recommend reservations! Wonderful food! Pasta, gnocchi, roast and potatoes dish all wonderful! We had the house red wine and it did not disappoint! Staff great! Very clean! Well worth your time!

Posizione centrale, con vista su una piccola ma bella piazza, cibo tradizionale e grande. È già la seconda volta che visito questa città vengo a questa taverna!

Locale piccolino, ma molto grazioso e curato. Sono organizzati su turni e trovo molto intelligente la scelta. Menù non ampio, ma di buona scelta. Materie prime eccellenti, piatti ben presentati, sapore squisito
