Margos Mexican Food - Alamogordo

Excellent TexMex food. Tamales and Rellenos were particularly good.

The food and staff at this restaurant were excellent, but the prices were inaccurate. I ordered a chicken chimichanga a la carte, a soft taco, and a horchata, and was charged $20.44. Does that seem reasonable?

The salsa was good and I ordered the steak tampiquena, which came with a generous portion of food including a guacamole salad. The steak was a bit tough and cooked to the correct temperature, but on the thicker side. The onions could have been more grilled as they were almost raw.

This restaurant is one of the top choices for Mexican food in the city. The only downside is the staff, who have a habit of standing and watching customers eat, which can be uncomfortable and detracts from the overall dining experience. However, the service is quick and the food is delicious.
