Calafia Taqueria - Alameda

Authentic Mexican food and aqua fresca. The owner Vincent is a great guy. They just expanded and opened a patio area. I hope to see you there.

Califia is our 'Go To ' for Mexican food. We especially love their tamales, burrittos watermelon water, and horchata. We have ordered tamale platters for parties. Casual and family run. Definitely stop in when we are nearby.

Great mexican food, drinks and service, I love to come again to that place.

Occasionally the service can be just a tad slow. However, I love their fish tacos. They're the best. I have had fish tacos at other eateries (Rubio's, Otaez, La Salsa and even at the Cheesecake Factory). Nobody, but nobody does them fish tacos like Calafia Taqueria. I am addicted to them. I even enjoy their Jamaica (agua fresca). It does not taste artificial. I can taste the delicate essence of the hibiscus. The other flavored agua frescas are very good, too. The salsa bar is great salsa verde, salsa rosa, pico de gallo, limes, radishes, etc.

We love Maria!! Nice little spot for a tasty meal. There is always a good fight on the TV..
