The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! Great staff! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Seasoning of the food was delicious, but the lamb was tough and very few veggies with entrees. Most of the plate was rice. A very busy night and not enough servers--Our waitress was delightful, but she could not take care of everyone.
This is the first time I 've had Kurdish cuisine and I must say, I was VERY impressed! We started off with appetizers of veggie fritters (Mujwer), and lamb/beef meatballs and had the Dizzy clergy and Niroj Kebab for our main courses. The fritters and meatballs were absolutely delicious and you could taste that they used higher quality meat for the Kebab. Although the dizzy clergy comprised of eggplant was good, it wasn 't my favorite dish of the night. (There wasn 't anything wrong with the dish.....just wasn 't impressed with the overall flavor....NO fault of theirs). Overall, I am SO HAPPY that there is finally another great restaurant (besides Moqueca) in the culinary wasteland that is the Thousand Oaks/Agoura Hills area. Lebanese wine perfectly accompanied the dishes. Dessert was shredded filo dough with cheese....very tasty!! We will definitely be back to try more dishes!
We had the fixed price dinner for Valentine's day. The food was delicious and the staff and owner were very nice. The lamb shank was exceptionally good, and the meat could be easily detached from the bone using only a fork. It came with a generous portion of tasty rice. The wine we ordered (by the glass) was a nice, dry red wine (Yakut) from Turkey an excellent choice. The dinner was preceded by a selection of cold appetizers. All of them were excellent and very delicious. The only disappointment was the amount. We were a party of four, and we received one medium sized plate of about four appetizers, each one comprising about three tablespoons barely enough for each of us to have a small taste. There were also two small slices of cheese, each about an inch and a half to an inch and three quarters square. We had to cut each one in half so we could all have a taste. For desert my wife and I shared an amazing dessert, the name of which escapes me. It came in a ramekin style bowl and consisted of some kind of cream with nuts, bits of chocolate and small pieces of something else wish I could be more specific but let me just say it was delicious. All in all the meal was really great, and we will be returning soon.
