Bidra med feedbackMy family and I went to this restaurant for dinner six months ago. It appears to be temporarily closed and we are unsure when it will open again. The food was delicious and of high quality. The wait time was around 20 to 30 minutes, but definitely worth it. As someone from South India, I can say that their food tastes authentic. If the restaurant reopens, please post or update the address on Google. Thank you.
I have dined at this restaurant before, and as they say, empty vessels make more noise. I can confidently say that it holds true in this case. There are many restaurants in Adelaide that claim to serve authentic South Indian cuisine, but few actually deliver. The Taste of South India truly stands out as the best place to enjoy South Indian food. I highly recommend it to everyone. The sambar idli I had here reminded me of my college days in Chennai and my mom's homemade sambar idli. I can't wait to try all the other dishes on their menu.
Flew to dinner tonight in South India and I have to say it was absolutely amazing! this place is a hidden gem! hands down the best authentic South Indian food we have served in adelaide by a humble family! lip lubricates idioyappam with chicken kuruma, more kozhambu, mini idlis and sambar vadai. thomas speciality dessert C-Cube was phenomenal! we would like to go back.
Now, this couple who owns the place are aryuvedical practitioners. this is an old Indian medicine for good health. they have quite tasty eating and they try very hard. the restaurant is small, but clean and they have some specialties. the vadai both masala and medhu are very tasty and crisp, although a little too much chili for my taste. the cocos and tweebelchutney is fresh and full of taste and taste. However, I wish they would not close the restaurant one-sided without it being noticed that, for example, the place is closed on every Sunday of the month. the huh sometimes has a raw taste that I hope they will fix soon. the Indian palate from the south can not stand the raw taste of meat hugging, goats etc. I hope they will add a few more to their menu, like the popular Indian tamil appom. I also hope that her chicken curry will be different from the basic taste of herbal curry (or kozhambu.) I think a bit more is coming up in the menu. the idiyappom is very soft and fresh. I want to see another curry to accompany this medium (i.e. idiyappom). they need to book a table when they want to eat in the restaurant. the prices are a little expensive and is now the norm at any place in and around adelaide. I really do not appreciate the choice of the owner sugar and saw to add to their means of life that Indian tamil cooking is strange. quite original and much healthier than some Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese cookery that has plenty of sugar and msg in it. check their blood sugar level after eating such kitchen. good luck!
I am a Korean who love Indian food especially biryani. The chef, Thamo is one of the professional cooks I have met. This is because he is trying to offer the best quality of cuisine with fresh ingrediants. It was impressed that he took at least 30 mins for cooking the biryani. I ordered a chicken and goat biryani and it was the best cuisine ever. He put best effort to serve the homemade biryani. Moreover, the chef, Thamo and his wife offered the cuisine with polite and smile at all time. They was happy to explain the food's ingrediants and how to eat traditionally. That was amazing expericence for me. It was priceless opertunity to learn how to enjoy the cuisine with the traditional way.I am living in Melboure, once I have chance to visit Adelaide definatley will visit the resturant again. I miss the biryaniChef, romba nandri!!
