Mamak Corner - Acton

I'm surprised at the other review but I never even knew the place existed until I moved to the neighbourhood in August 2018. I often stop for lunch at the Garran Shops and Garran Kitchen is one of my go tos. I really enjoy the laksa though it is not the best you will ever have it certainly hits the spot. The daily specials are quite reasonably priced and the service is very friendly. Indoor/outdoor seating makes it a perfect lunch spot.

I ordered two vegetable and tofu laksa's to go for dinner last night from Garran Kitchen. (Garran Shops)We paid $15.50 eac . Lasksa's consisted of celery sticks and bok choy, 2 small pieces of tofu and tasteless laksa broth and noodles.

The food was freshly cooked in about 10 minutes making this an ideal option for lunch on the run. I had Satay chicken as a lunch special which had vegetables and rice included. Maybe a little heavy handed with rice but still very enjoyable.Staff are very friendly and courteous. Restaurant was clean and uncluttered and we could hear each other speaking without yelling.

I have never had a better chicken/prawn laksa anywhere else! The service is friendly and quick, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The wait of 10 minutes with 50 other people was worth it to dine at this restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was delightful. There were many delicious choices that brought back memories of my travels through Malaya. It was the best night out and a great value - don't miss out on this experience.
