Menchie's Frozen Yogurt - Abingdon

Drove all the way here from Joppa and it's CLOSED!! Update this to reflect such!! The business is no longer here anymore!!

Simple frozen yogurt place. Awesome flavors. Awesome toppings. Very friendly service. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Who doesn't love froyo! Well I'm definitely a froyo nut but this place was not up to par by any means!! We were greeted by a man upon entering as he then proceeded to ignore us to hold a conversation with a woman who was on her way out and as we came up to pay he left a new employee rang us out as he was giving her directions to run the place. ??!! Not a great first impression. Also when the man (owner-I'm guessing left) rap music was put on the overhead speakers and it was a bit loud and I like rap but I like to hear the people I'm with talk to as well-again not a great 1st impression! Hopefully they'll get it together soon! Their froyo was melted and not very good at all, and I've been to other Menchie's before where the froyo was delicious!! Don't know what happened here but won't be back ever!! The taste of the dark chocolate froyo was so awful that I had to throw it out! I have never thrown out froyo usually love ALL flavors! Shame about this place since they have a great location and a decent product if they can pull it al together!?

It 's kind of like a buffet for frozen yogurt! This is a serve-yourself place, and they charge you based on weight. When I walked in, it was completely empty--there wasn 't even an associate out front. I looked around until someone came out. He was very helpful in explaining how it works, but he disappeared as soon as I paid. They have two dairy-free options and two sugar-free options. The rest of the flavors are normal. They have cups and cones, although he told me to take a cup, and I didn 't see the cones until it was too late. I went with the chocolate, with a squirt of peanut butter for good measure. It was good, though not outstanding. The shop is bright and clean, with enough room for a few singles or small families. The price was good, at 59 cents/oz. Be sure to check in for 20% off.

The fro-yo was a good thick consistency. It's the worst when it comes out watery and you can't put it back lol. Nice options of flavors like white chocolate, new York cheesecake and watermelon. Very refreshing for a warm day like today! What really makes this stand out though, is the service. I've interacted with 3 of their employees including the owner who are all very friendly and pleasant. There are seats and chairs outside which were very nice to eat fro-yo and get that vitamin D! I get the menchies just thinking of them!
