Miyagi Boom Restaurant - 4ta. Avenida

Came here cause my brother had been before. I loved the decor, and the theme of the place: I was a Karate Kid’ fan when I was little. We ordered -Crab roll: crab, tempura, avocado, mayo, covered with masago -Samuel San: Eel, avocado, cream cheese,...covered with salmon and panko -Katsumoto roll: smoked salmon, Japanese mayo, covered in masago and crisp’ crab meat -Maki del chef: eel and seafood, green onion, cream cheese, avocado, covered with sweet plantains and and flamed mozzarella -Tropical roll: “little appetizer” 6 rolls of sweet plantains, salmon, cream cheese, avocado, “boom sauce”, seafood and seaweed salad. -Kataki roll: breaded prawns, avocado, cream cheese, covered with salmon tartare, masago, green onions in a special sauce. We also ordered Ancla beer and tea. Service was outstanding: all employees were nice and knowledgeable, and price was about right. I liked the use of Colombian ingredients in some of the rolls. Very clever. I recommend! PD: all places in Cartagena are considered “slow” service compared to US. So I won’t make any comments on timing and that won’t make a difference in any review I make while in Cartagena.

This place definitely disappointed. I ordered sushi and my husband ordered fried rice. His food came at least 15 minutes before mine did so he could have been completely done eating prior to me if had started eating when it came. We were only one...of two tables so they weren't even busy to use that as an excuse. I believe the food should be brought at least somewhat at the same time. And the sushi was covered in mayonnaise which wasn't indicated on the menu so I didn't even eat it.

Such yummy sushi and the service was amazing, staff are very attentive! We visited multiple times while staying in Cartegena!

We have now dined here several times and on every occasion our meal has been faultless. The restaurant has a nice ambience and the service is pleasant and efficient. The menu is varied and everything we have chosen has been very good. Portion sizes are...fair and the prices are very reasonable bearing in mind how good the food is. Highlights for starters were the pork gyozo and the tuna tataki. The sushi are various and interesting and although most include cream cheese they can be served without on request. This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Cartagena. Recommended!

Everything was good! The service was attentive without being smothering. The menu was interesting and sensibly priced. The tuna tataki was lovely the tuna was very fresh. The sushi was very good the portion size was much larger than many sushi restaurants. One...of the best sushi restaurants I have been to. Great food at reasonable prices. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Cartagena.
