Bidra med feedbackI happened to drop by this restaurant, and I was impressed by how delicious it was. I ordered the soba set meal, which came with soba noodles, mountain vegetable rice, mountain vegetable side dish, rolled omelette, konjac, pickled plum, dried persimmon, sweet simmered citrus fruits, and a variety of dishes. Everything seemed homemade and each dish was incredibly delicious. There are suspension bridges, dams, and walking spots nearby, but I think just going to this restaurant alone is worth more than the cost.
This is a restaurant near the vicinity of Bubu Dam. It is located adjacent to the dam lake park, so it is often overlooked, but it seems to be a popular spot. When I visited, there were about 10 cars parked by 11 o'clock. I thought it must be a popular "park", so I toured around the dam lake and came back an hour and a half later, only to find no cars and a sign at the restaurant entrance saying "Soba is sold out". Even though they were out of soba, they still had udon available so I tried the nabeyaki udon, which was satisfying because the broth was delicious. They also apparently have mixed rice with various ingredients, but it was also sold out that day due to the high popularity. The staff were friendly, so I plan on trying the buckwheat soba next time. Additionally, the dam lake park, which is maintained as a park of Shirotsubaki and Nodatara, seemed perfect for picnics and hiking, so it might be nice to take a walk around after eating here to walk off your meal.
